The Dearborn Public Schools Homeless team is excited to invite you to a special session titled “Empowering Families Through Community Connections.” This event is designed to connect families, particularly those experiencing or knowing someone experiencing homelessness, with vital resources and support networks within our community.

Small Group Discussions: Our presentation will be facilitated in small groups, fostering a comfortable environment for open dialogue.
Resource Tables: Explore a variety of resource tables staffed by LAHC representatives, who can answer questions and provide information on services tailored to your unique needs.
Importance of Community Support: Learn about community services’ crucial role in establishing stability and promoting family self-sufficiency.

Healthy Living: We’ll provide guidance on accessing healthy food options, food assistance programs, and maintaining a physically active lifestyle through budget-friendly meal planning tips.
Substance Use Prevention: This session will address the warning signs of substance misuse, connect you with relevant resources, and offer coping mechanisms for managing stress in a healthy way.
Mental Health Awareness: We’ll discuss the importance of prioritizing mental health, explore strategies for managing stress, and provide information on accessing mental health services, including therapeutic services offered onsite at LAHC.
