Welcome back to a great school year!
Thank you to everyone who joined us during our Open House on Friday. It was wonderful to see our students and families. Tomorrow, Monday, August 28 is the official first day of school for all students. School will start at 9:00am and will end at 12:05pm (Half Day).
شكرًا لكل من انضم إلينا خلال البيت المفتوح يوم الجمعة. كان من الرائع رؤية طلابنا وعائلاتنا. غدا الاثنين 28 أغسطس هو أول يوم دراسي رسمي لجميع الطلاب. ستبدأ المدرسة الساعة 9:00 صباحًا وتنتهي الساعة 12:05 ظهرًا (نصف يوم).
Breakfast and lunch will begin on Tuesday with the first FULL day of school.

Outdoor supervision of students starts at 8:50am so students should not be dropped off before this time each day, unless they are having breakfast.

Starting on Tuesday, the doors will open at 8:30am for breakfast.

Arrival Procedures
Please refer to the map above for grade level entry door locations. Upon arrival, students will line up outside in their assigned area. Please remember that there is NO supervision by staff until 8:50 outside. It is important to remind children that they must remain in their line, on the spot marked, at all times. Teachers will be outside at 8:50 and will walk students in by 9:00am. Students arriving after that time will need to have a parent check in to the office.

Kindergarten students will need to be dropped off directly to the classroom from door 2.

We will have numbered balloons to show the location of line up for each grade. We will also have all our staff outside assisting students in finding their new teacher. Students will walk into the building with their teachers using the following doors:

Dismissal/ Parent Pick-Up Procedures
At dismissal, teachers will bring their class outside and stand at the designated area. Parents should remain in their vehicle and pull up to the appropriate area to pick up their child when possible.

- Lois street will have only one way traffic during arrival and dismissal each day. Traffic will head North towards Michigan avenue.

- Parking in the bus lane is not allowed at any time

- Traffic in the parking lot will flow in a one way direction counter clockwise

Dismissal– If you are dropping off your child, please be sure to follow the traffic directions as shown on the map below. We will all need to work together to ensure the safety of all our students.
Please be sure to review safety rules with your child who will be riding a bus to and from school each day, Talk about the behavior and safety expectations for pick up and drop off locations, the actual bus ride and how to cross the street. The safety of all our students is a priority and we work hard alongside our transportation department to ensure that our students are safe at all times.
