Letter from the Principal

October 24th, 2016

Dear Miller Families,

I hope you are well and enjoying the beautiful fall weather with friends and loved ones. Miller Staff THANK you for your outstanding patience and support as we continue working together for the betterment of our community. Continue dropping off students having breakfast in the front (main entrance) drop off near the school sign. All Miller students will continue lining up in the rear of the building, the exception being inclement weather. Dearborn Public Schools has established a temperature of 20 degrees as the determining temperature for indoor lineup, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for weather conditions as we will continue lining up outside. Students not having breakfast may be dropped off at the North drop-off area. In the case of inclement weather (rain/snow/temp below 20 degrees) ALL students will be lining up inside the building, students are to be dropped off in front of the school where they will enter using the front entrance, DO NOT enter the school with your child. To help with traffic avoid entering the parking lot and use the drop-off zone in front of the building North of the school sign. As the end of October quickly approaches and the weather becomes unpredictable the following changes to Miller EXIT procedures will be effective immediately.
Dismissal:
kindergarten parents are required to pick students up from the classroom, there is no change to kindergarten dismissal. ALL 1st and 2nd grade students are to be picked up in the Cafeteria, parents no longer need to walk to the rear of the building for pick up. Third and fifth grade students will be dismissed as usual and be responsible for themselves. Team Miller appreciates your patience as we continue working together and providing the safest environment for Miller students and families.
